CD and DVD Printers

There are basically three print technologies available for on disc print applications, screen print, inkjet print and thermal print.  Screen printing systems are both very large and very expensive so are not ideal for normal in-house printing requirements.  That leaves inkjet and thermal.

Inkjet has the big benefit of full colour print together with relatively low buying price and small desktop size.   The downside is the water based ink which may smudge if wet or damp.  Despite this inkjet remains the most popular option which is widely used.  Our inkjet printers feature HP print technology so you can be sure of consistent quality and long term reliability

Mono thermal printers offer very low running costs of less than 4p per disc and are the fastest printers available.  If your application requires straightforward text and logos printed black on a standard silver CD or DVD, then this print technology is perfect for you.  In addition to mono print you can have two or three colour print with the appropriate ribbons.

Full colour thermal printers offer amazing print quality together with a high gloss waterproof finish, however this performance does come at a price both in terms of capital cost and ongoing consumables cost.
