The Image MASSter Solo III Forensic has been tailored to suit the needs of law enforcement agencies and computer crime investigators. Copying every sector of a suspect drive, the Solo III Forensic ensures that you get all the data including the previously used sectors which may contain vital information.
It incorporates all the functionality of the Solo 2 Forensic and LinkMASSter with greater transfer speed and MD5/SHA-1/SHA-2 and CRC32 Hashing. With Solo III you can now capture an image direct from drive to drive or via a USB or Firewire port, so even the hard to reach notebook drives can be copied with ease. The inbuilt write blocker means you can examine suspect drives in the field, by connecting the Solo III to your PC via the USB or Firewire port.
Note: It's highly recommended to use the Hard Drive EMI Shield Cooler with the Solo 3 Forensic. This accessory will protect the hard drive from EMI noise while you clone hard drives and will reduce heat build-up of the hard drives.
Forensic Acquistion for Macintosh
The Solo 3 Forensic for Mac option allows the user of ICS's ImageMASSter Solo 3 Forensic to copy data from unopened Mac computer through 1394B or USB ports.
The Suspect’s data captured can be hashed and verified to comply with the highest standards of Computer Forensic Regulations, either with MD5, SHA-1 or SHA-2. Consequently the acquired data can be guaranteed to be an exact replica of the suspect’s data without modification, re-arrangement or corruption.
